Prior Labs & TD Explore TabPFN for Financial Forecasting At Enterprise Scale

Prior Labs is excited to share that it is working with TD and its AI research and development center, Layer 6, to explore TabPFN’s application to enhance financial forecasting in key areas such as lending and operations.

TabPFN is our next generation tabular foundation model. It’s purpose-built to work with tabular data found in structured rows and columns in spreadsheets and databases. Traditional generative AI models have struggled to work with tabular data because it doesn’t share the same recognizable patterns that text and images do.

TabPFN was trained on hundreds of millions of datasets so it could recognize patterns from any dataset, analyze the relationship between data in different cells and even predict missing data.

Together, Prior Labs and TD are exploring TabPFN to forecast growth across a broad range of product portfolios including lending and mortgages, with the goal of improving financial planning and decision making across the bank.

Prior Labs is also supporting TD with services to enable experimentation and optimization to scale in a secure and controlled environment, a key requirement for scalable AI adoption in financial services.
